Mumbai, September 29: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim‘s brother Iqbal Kaskar, who is in Mumbai police’s custody for extortion, has revealed that the D-company uses code words for internal conversation to evade Indian intelligence agencies. The terror syndicate uses ‘Delhi’ for Karachi, and ‘Modi’ for Chhota Shakeel.
A report said that D company uses ‘Bade’ for terrorist Dawood Ibrahim. It also used ‘Dabba’ for police van. ‘Ek dabba’ means Rs 1 lakh , whereas ‘ek box’ is used for Rs 1 crore.
Iqbal Kaskar also confirmed Indian agencies’ reports that Dawood Ibrahim is in Karachi. His brother Anees Ibrahim also lives in Pakistan. They travel without documents to avoid leaving a paper trail.
Iqbal Kaskar has been making startling revelations since his arrest on the allegation of extorting flats from a Mumbai-based builder. The revelations give a glimpse as to how Dawood Ibrahim operates from Pakistan. He had revealed that he spoke to the don at least four times, using ‘burner phones’ to escape the scanner of intelligence agencies. The latest chat they had was about the collapse of Husaini building in Mumbai’s Bhendi Bazaar.
A Zee News report said that Iqbal Kaskar told interrogators that Dawood Ibrahim had funded Zakir Naik’s Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). He also said that Dawood’s wife had visited Mumbai in 2016 to visit her ailing father.
The Hindu reported that Dawood’s wife used alias Zubeena Zarin and came to Mumbai in 2016. She left the country after the meeting. He also provided four addresses of Dawood in Karachi. He said that Dawood lives with Anees Ibrahim and Chhota Shakeel in a posh locality in the city. Anees Ibrahim calls his family members in Mumbai on Eid.
A 54-year-old businessman was arrested on Thursday by Thane police in connection with the extortion case against Iqbal Kaskar, the brother of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim, PTI reported.
