New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Wednesday made a surprise visit to ‘Hunar Haat’ at Rajpath in Delhi, where he enjoyed Bihari dish ‘Litti-Chokha’ with ‘Kulhad Chai’. His visit has now become a bone of contention amongst Bihar politicians, with reactions pouring in across all party lines.
Modi’s visit gave RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav an opportunity to take a swipe at the PM over the implementation of Centre’s policies in the state.
Tejashwi brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, tweeted, “You can eat litti chokha but Bihar will never forget your betrayal.”
Taking on the opposition’s criticism, Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that the PM’s visit was a “happy coincidence”, as his government was communicating with the farmers in Bihar and making decisions to fulfil the dream of bringing Bihari cuisine to every Indian plate at the same time as Modi relishing ‘Litti Chokha’.
