Kashmir (J&K): The Army on Sunday arrested three terrorists in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir while they were trying to infiltrate the borders. The terrorists have been handed over to the police and a case has been registered, news agency ANI reported.

On Saturday (September 8), a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was killed in a gunfight with the police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, authorities said on Saturday. A policeman was also injured in the gunfight.

An unidentified number of militants attacked a police post in Achabal area on Friday night following which there was a brief gunfight. “A weapon was recovered from the victim who has been identified as Bilal Ahmad of Yaripora village,” the authorities said.

On September 1, three militants and an army soldier were killed in an anti-militancy operation by the army in the Bandipora district.
