Following an encounter and an explosion, the authorities have suspended both mobile telephone and internet services in the district as a precautionary measure. According to the police, despite repeated requests not to visit the gunfight site in Laroo village till it was declared safe, civilians went to the gunfight site where an explosion occurred.

“Civilians visited the encounter site immediately after the operation in spite of (our) request not to go there as a thorough search is to be made for explosives once flames douse. They did not listen and visited the spot immediately after the forces withdrew,” a police official said.
