Srinagar: Government forces along with 44 Rashtriya Rifles managed to bust a terrorist hideout busted in Shopian district’s Kungnoo village on Wednesday. Substantial recoveries of incriminating material and other items were made, reported ANI. The forces have to CASO whenever there in input on terrorist presence. Earlier, the Government forces launched a CASO at Daramdora, Keegam village, in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said a joint team of the Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police ring-fenced Daramdora, Keegam village and began a search operation. “Lights have been installed and all the entry and exit points to the village were sealed with barbed wires,” said the official.
Meanwhile, an encounter in Tral left two terrorists dead on Tuesday. Pakistan has continued to violate the ceasefire despite the international pressure on it after the Balakote air strikes that followed the Pulwama terror attack of February 14.
A similar encounter was reported from Akhnoor only on Monday but there were no casualties reported.
