New Delhi, July 13: A multi-layered security net has been built in Puri to ensure smooth conduct of the annual Jagannath Rath Yatra, which is scheduled to commence from Saturday, July 14. Around 8,000 police personnel along with ODRAF, Rapid Action Force,  anti bomb squad have been deployed in Puri for the security of the devotees and tourists. Notably, scores of devotees are expected to visit the temple and witness the chariot festival. The rath (chariots) of Lord Jagannath, his brother Lord Balabhadra, and their sister Subhadra will start the journey from the 400-year-old Jagannath temple in Jamalpur and pass through Khamasa, Raipur, Kalupur, Prem Darwaza, Dariapur, Delhi Chakla, and Shahpur.
