Referred to as “the greatest literary show on Earth,” the highly-anticipated Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF), sponsored by ZEE Entertainment, will be returning to Boulder, Colorado later this month. The three-day extravaganza, which celebrates literature from all over the world, will be held at the Boulder Public Library from September 15th through September 18th.

Featuring internationally-recognized guests from across the globe, ZEE JLF at Boulder promises to be an event unlike any other. ZEE JLF, which originated in India 10 years ago, examines the human experience through the reflections and imaginations of distinguished contemporary authors from across the globe.

This year’s program will feature nearly 70 guest speakers, including high-profile guests such as Larry Pressler, former Congressman; Alberto Ruy Sanchez, writer and poet; Amber Cantorna, writer and LGBT activist; Amy Stolls, writer; Anne Hillerman, writer and journalist; Anosh Irani, writer; Anita Anand, writer and broadcaster; Irene Vilar, writer and activist; Ishaan Tharoor, journalist; among many others. Equity and democracy run through the Festival’s veins, placing some of the world’s greatest minds, humanitarians, historians, politicians, business leaders, sports people and entertainers from all walks of life together on stage. We are proud to be a sponsor of this event, joining our friends in Boulder to celebrate influential writers and literature.

This free and egalitarian access to these renowned thinkers and writers is a powerful statement in a country where access to such individuals remains the privilege of a few. The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival provides a potentially life-changing opportunity for audiences from Rajasthan, across India and the world to learn from and exchange ideas with contemporary literary stalwarts

In an uplifting celebration of the mind and heart, authors from the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Europe will take part in provocative conversations about life and society, economics and the arts, equity, freedom, and the care of our planet. In these critical times, the penetrating intercultural dialogue exchanged speaks deeply to individuals and gives rise to the joy of community.

Celebrating writers from across the globe, the Festival has hosted some of the big names, including Nobel Laureates and Man Booker Prize winners to debut writers including Amish Tripathi, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Eleanor Catton, Hanif Kureishi, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Ian McEwan, J.M. Coetzee, Mohammed Hanif, Oprah Winfrey, Orhan Pamuk, Pico Iyer, Salman Rushdie, Stephen Fry, Thomas Piketty, Vikram Seth and Wole Soyinka along with renowned Indian language writers such as Girish Karnad, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, M.T. Vasudevan Nair, Uday Prakash as well as the late Mahasweta Devi and U.R. Ananthamurthy.

The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival is a flagship event of Teamwork Arts, which produces over 25 highly-acclaimed performing arts, visual arts and literary festivals across more than 40 cities globally, and is produced by Sanjoy K. Roy.

In 2014, ZEE JLF spread its wings beyond the borders of India with an annual event in May in London, England. In 2015, it headed across the pond to Boulder, Colorado for the first time.
