New Delhi: A Border Security Force (BSF) soldier died and two were injured in a blast at a border outpost along the international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported on Monday. More details are awaited.
A BSF officer told to PTI, “A blast has taken place at a BOP in Samba sector. One BSF person has died.” Security forces have cordoned off the area and search operation has been launched in the area.
BSF sources said the incident happened after a grenade exploded accidentally at Manguchak border outpost. “The explosion took place around 5.15 p.m. One BSF trooper was killed and three others were injured in this explosion.

“The injured troopers have been shifted to hospital for treatment,” sources said.
Two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out between terrorists and security forces at Rebban area of Zainapora village in Shopian district on Sunday.
On November 10, two terrorists were killed in an encounter which broke out in Budgam district. One of the terrorists was identified as Mukhtar A Khan. He was involved in attacks on security establishments. Angry residents took to streets to protest the encounter and pelted stones at the security forces.
