New Delhi, June 10:  Six terrorists were killed on Sunday as the Army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to PTI, a defence spokesman said,”An infiltration bid has been eliminated along the LoC in Karen Sector (Kupwara district).”

He said three militants attempting to infiltrate into this side of the LoC have been killed. The operation is in progress, the spokesman informed.

No casualty among the forces has been reported yet in the operation, according to official sources. More details in the incident awaited.

The infiltration bid came days after three terrorists were killed by the security forces in Machhil sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

On June 3, the joint team of Army and Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down a militant near Ustad Post in Keran sector. After challenging the infiltrators, additional security forces sealed the area making escapes impossible for the intruders.
