New Delhi, May 12: An encounter broke out on Saturday between security forces and terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), a news agency ANI reported. In the encounter one, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has lost his life.

According to reports, the gunfight broke out when the security forces were carrying out search operations in the area. The security forces have managed to trap the terrorists. The area has been cordoned off. However, the terrorists managed to escape taking advantage of darkness amid intense stone pelting in the area. Locals were seen pelting stones at the security forces. As reported the encounter has concluded.

The latest gunfight comes days after five terrorists including Hizbul Mujahideen militant Saddam Padder, was gunned down by the security forces in Shopian encounter in Jammu and Kashmir. Five militants were identified as Hizbul commander Saddam Paddar, Kashmir University assistant professor Muhammad Rafi Bhat, Tawseef Sheikh, Molvi Bilal and Adil Ahmad.
