New Delhi, May 22: An eight-month-old child lost his life after being hit by a bullet reportedly during ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Keri Battal area of Akhnoor near LoC. The incident is reported to have taken place last night when the eight-month-old Nitin Kumar was sleeping with his family outside their home in Pallanwala sector along the LoC. Notably, the incident came days after four civilians and a BSF jawan were killed in firing by Pakistani troops in Jammu district. Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday said that by killing people during the holy month of Ramzan, Pakistan “is guilty of sacrilege”. “Those who are indulging in firing from across the border has proved to the entire world that they have the least of faith in Ramzan, Islam and Holy Quran. This is the country which calls itself Pakistan and is indulging in most ‘Napaak’ activity during Ramzan,” Singh told ANI. Earlier on May 16, India asked the security forces not to launch operations during Ramzan while accepting the proposal of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to halt security force operations during Amarnath Yatra and Ramzan.
