Jammu and Kashmir: 1 Terrorist Killed in Encounter Between Security Forces, Terrorists in Pulwama

An encounter has broken out in Tral forests of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, between security forces and terrorists hiding there.

New Delhi: An exchange of fire took place between terrorists and security forces in the forests of Tral area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday morning.

Troops of 42 Rashtriya Rifles with Special Operations Group were carrying out search and cordon operation in Tral early morning when the encounter broke out. Acting on the tipoff, the troops of 180 Bn CRPF also rushed to the spot and provided reinforcement.

The body of one terrorist has been recovered from the area. Search for the remaining terrorists continue.
