New Delhi: A major fire broke out at an Army camp near the Line of Control in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Police said that the fire engulfed many structures in the camp where large quantities of fuel, firearms and ammunition are stored. The blaze was triggered by a short circuit. Recently, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Anantnag district. As per reports, three terrorists had holed up in Kokernag area. As a precautionary measure, authorities had suspended mobile internet services in the district.
The operation was launched following a tip-off about the holed-up militants in Gadole village.
