Srinagar: A National Conference leader Mohammad Ismail Wani was on Thursday shot at by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag. The leader is now admitted to a hospital. As per a report, the leader is in a critical state.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in a tweet, “My @JKNC_ colleague Mohd Ismail Wani, block President Bijbehara block in South Kashmir of has been shot & injured. He has been referred to Srinagar. Praying for his recovery.”
This incident comes days after the dastardly Pulwama Terror Attack which took place on February 14 in Jammu and Kashmir. A Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the convoy jawans were travelling in, killing 40 CRPF personnel.
In an earlier incident in November last year, Hurriyat leader Hafizullah Mir was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. The separatist leader was taken to a hospital was declared brought dead.
