New Delhi: Security forces on Monday busted two terror modules of proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed and arrested 10 of its associates in Tral area of Awantipora and Khrew area of Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported.
Acting on specific inputs, police, along with security forces, carried the operation and busted the modules operating. Police said that four people have been identified as Younis Nabi Naik-resident of Pinglish, Fayaz Ahmad Wani-resident of Reshipora, Riyaz Ahmad Ganaie-resident of Nigeenpora and Bilal Ahmad Rather-resident of Hafoo Nigeenpora.
“All have been taken into the custody. The probe revealed their complicity in the terror attacks in Tral,” police added.
Giving more information, police said, “Second terror module busted in Khrew. Six JeM associates JA Parray-resident of Bethan Khrew, YB Wani-resident of Babapora Khrew, TY Lone-resident of Khrew, RA Bhat-resident of Sharshali Khrew, JA Khanday-resident of Khrew and Imran Nazir-resident Mandakpaul Naimsaab Khrew have been arrested.”
Recently, a security personnel was killed evening after terrorists opened fire on a security force establishment at Midoora in Tral area of Pulwama district.
The officer was identified as Ct Vijay Kumar had suffered serious injuries and was subsequently shifted to a nearby hospital. However, he later succumbed to his injuries. Police had registered a case and investigation has been initiated.
Earlier, three security forces lost their lives while two Pakistani intruders were gunned down in an encounter along the Line of Control in Rajouri district.
