New Delhi, Jul 18: Terrorists hurled a hand grenade at a police post in Watergam area of Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported on Wednesday. No casualties have been reported so far. Police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
Security personnel retaliated with firing and simultaneously launched a search operation to track down the terrorists. Further details in the incident are awaited.

The incident came weeks after a CRPF jawan was injured after terrorists hurled grenade on patrol party in Hyderpora area of Budgam district.

Earlier on May 23, six civilians were injured in the grenade attack at Bijbehara town of Anantnag district. Two days later, two policemen and a civilian were injured in a similar attack at a bus stand on Jammu’s BC road.
