Srinagar, Mar 12: Three terrorists were killed in a brief encounter with security forces in Anantnag’s Hakura in the early hours of Monday. No collateral damage was reported. According to reports, restrictions have been imposed in Srinagar since.

The police said that the three terrorists who were killed include Eesa Fazli of Srinagar and Syed Owais of Kokernag. The identity of the third terrorist is being ascertained. The police have recovered arms and ammunition, including AK 47 rifles, pistols and hand grenades, from the encounter site.

The police also mentioned that among the killed terrorists, one was involved in a recent attack on a police guard post at Soura in which a police constable was martyred.

The authorities have ordered closure of all Srinagar schools and colleges for Monday fearing protests in the city. Restrictions have been imposed in old Srinagar city and high speed internet is also down as one of the terrorists belonged to Soura in Srinagar.
