Jammu: Seven-year-old Allegedly Raped by Teacher at Religious School in Nagrota

The victim's mother lodged a complaint on Monday alleging that her daughter was raped by the teacher at the "darsgah". She alleged that the girl, after returning from school, complained pain in private parts, the official said.

Jammu, Mar 15: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her school teacher in Jammu’s Nagrota. The incident took place in a religious school in Nagrota area, a police official said.

The victim’s mother lodged a complaint on Monday alleging that her daughter was raped by the teacher at the “darsgah”. She alleged that the girl, after returning from school, complained of pain in private parts, the official said. Following a complaint on Monday, the accused teacher, identified as Shahnawaz, was arrested on Wednesday.

The girl was sent for a medical examination. The medical examination didn’t confirm rape, a PTI report said. Further investigation into the case was going on, the official said.
