Immediately after the firing, Mir was shifted to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced brought dead. The security forces have cordoned off the area and an investigation has been launched into the case. This attack comes two days after a former BJP worker was shot at and injured by some unidentified men in the Kachmulla village of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The victim Abdul Rashid was immediately rushed to the hospital and is currently undergoing medical treatment.
