Jat stir: Yogendra Yadav appeals for peace

Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav expressed concerns over the Jat agitation in Haryana, and appealed to people to maintain peace and harmony in the state.

Gurgaon, Feb 22: Swaraj Abhiyan leader Yogendra Yadav today expressed concerns over the Jat agitation in Haryana, and appealed to people to maintain peace and harmony in the state. Noting that at least 10 people have been killed in the agitation, Yadav urged Jat leaders and the Haryana government to solve the issue through dialogue.

“In such difficult time, people and Jat leaders should support the district administration and Haryana government and find a way through healthy dialogue process,” he told PTI. (Read: Jat agitation: Jats to get job quota, BJP leaders’ meeting decides)

The former AAP leader also asked the state government to take strict action against those indulging in violence and provoking others to do so. He urged the district administration to keep a tab on people who circulate rumours through social media or internet which would provoke violence in the region.
