Election Commission of India announced the dates of assembly polls on November 25, 2014. Soon the Jharkhand election results will be declared on December 23, 2014. V S Sampath, the Chief Election Commissioner while announcing the election schedule clearly specified that the polling session will be taking place in five phases between November 25 and December 20. Polling of the state would commence from November 25, 2014 and soon the results will be declared on December 23, 2014. It was reported that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha – (JMM) is not only leading but also ruling the state with the support of Congress. The assembly election 2014 will be covered in five phases from nominations, withdrawals, polling and counting.
In the year 2009, Assembly Elections Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) got majority and Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister. But in the year 2009, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha broke their alliance with BJP and formed new communion with INC.
Jharkhand Legislative Assembly comprises of 82 seats amongst which 81 are directly elected and one seat is nominated. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Indian National Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal won the 2009 Assembly Jharkhand elections after which Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister. They had successfully grabbed 18 seats. In the year 2009, INC won 13 seats, BJP and JMM grabbed 18 seats.

During 2009 Assembly Elections in Jharkhand, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) was leading with 18 seats after which Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister. In 2005 JMM formed alliance with BJP, wherein Shibu Soren was the Chief Minister from December 30, 2009 to May 30, 2010. Arjun Munda served for two years from March 18, 2003 to March 2, 2005. Madhu Koda held the office from September 14, 2006 to August 23, 2008. But in 2009, JMM split with BJP and formed new communion with INC.

BJP has impressive image in the mind of the people and even the responsible citizens are demanding for change.
