Pakur (Jharkhand), Apr 11: The locals in Pakur district of Jharkhand on Tuesday found a burning body of a girl in Pakur forest. The police have suspected that the girl was gangraped before she was murdered and set on fire to cover the crime. Locals in the Simaldhav village in Pakur district found a burning body of a girl in a forest and informed the police. Upon reaching the spot, the police doused the body of the girl who, as per the reports, appeared to be in her early 20s. The upper portion of her body is completely burnt. The police suspect that the girl was gangraped and was set on fire to destroy the evidence. Sub-divisional police officer Shravan Kumar said that the post-mortem report would tell if she was gangraped or burnt alive. The girl isn’t from the Simaldhav village as the villagers haven’t reported anyone missing. The police are, however, questioning the villagers.
