“This is just a short rest,” the tweet further stated.

In his press conference, Kamal Nath had lashed out at the opposition BJP, accusing it of ‘toppling’ his 15-month-old government. Remarking that he got just 15 months in power in the state, as compared to the BJP’s 15 years, he had further said that ‘today is followed by tomorrow which is followed by day after tomorrow,’ hinting at a return to power sometime in future.

The BJP had hit back at Kamal Nath, asking the Congress to ‘self-introspect’ and stating that the Madhya Pradesh government was ‘toppled’ due to internal fights within the party.

The crisis in Madhya Pradesh had begun earlier this month, around Holi, when 22 Congress MLAs, loyal to Jyotiraditya Scindia, who jumped ship to the BJP, resigned from the Assembly, thus reducing the Kamal Nath govrenment to a minority, eventually leading to its collapse.
