New Delhi, Dec 22: The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Bill, 2015, which was passed in Rajya Sabha, is a tribute to my daughter, said father of Nirbhaya, victim of Delhi 2012 gangrape-cum-murder. However Nirbhaya’s mother expressed anger for delaying the Juvenile Justice Bill as the juvenile rapist of Nirbhaya has been released now. “I’m satisfied that bill has been passed in Rajya Sabha but still unhappy that Nirbhaya didn’t get justice,” said the mother.

Swami Maliwal, chief of Delhi Commission of Women, expressed happiness over the passing of the Juvenile Justice Bill. “It was delayed but at least it happened, we welcome this,” said Maliwal. “I want to congratulate all Nirbhaya’s in the country as this is one step forward towards justice,” she added.
