Bengaluru, May 15: The Karnataka Elections 2018 Results will be declared on Tuesday. The 222-Assembly constituencies, out of the total 224, in Karnataka went to polls on May 12, Saturday. Voting on Kampli, Siruguppa, Bellary, Bellary City and Sandur Assembly seats, along with others, was held on May 12. The results of Kampli, Siruguppa, Bellary, Bellary City and Sandur Assembly seats will be announced today, on May 15. Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 is witnessing a tough contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Indian National Congress (INC) and Janata Dal (Secular). Siddaramaiah of the Congress is the current Chief Minister of the state. The term of current Karnataka Assembly ends on May 28. Over 70 per cent voter turnout was recorded. Kampli (ST)
Kampli (ST), constituency number 91, was won by TH Suresh Babu of the BSRCP against Independent candidate JN Ganesh in 2013 Karnataka Assembly Elections. In Karnataka Elections 2018, the seat is witnessing a contest between TH Suresh Babu of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), JN Ganesh of the Indian National Congress (INC), K Raghavendra of Janata Dal (Secular). The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Siruguppa (ST)
Siruguppa (ST), constituency number 92, is currently held by INC’s B Nagaraj. He had won it against BJP’s MS Somalingappa in 2013. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between MS Somalingappa of the BJP, B Murali Krishna of the Congress, and Hosamane B Maruthi of Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018. The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Bellary (ST)
Bellary, constituency number 93, is currently held by INC’s NY Gopalakrishna. He had won it in 2013 Karanataka Assembly Elections. In Karanataka Assembly Elections 2018, the seat is witnessing a tough contest between Sanna Pakkirappa of the BJP, B Nagendra of the Congress and D Ramesh of JD(S). The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Bellary City
Bellary City, constituency number 94, was won by INC’s Anil Lad in 2013 Karnataka Assembly elections. For Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018, the Congress has fielded Anil H Lad from the seat and G Somasekhara Reddy will contest for the BJP and Mohamad Iqbal Hothur for JD(S), Hanumanthappa for AIFB, Tapal Ganesh for Janata Dal United (JDU), Gonal Jumari P for Samajwadi Party (SP).
Sandur (ST)
Sandur, constituency number 95, was won by E Tukaram of INC in 2013 against JD(S)’s Dhananjaya R. For the seat, D Raghavendra (Manju) will fight for BJP against E Tukaram of the INC, B Vasanth Kumar of JD(S) and Independent candidate Bangara Hanumanta. The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
The Indian National Congress (INC) won a majority of seats, with 122 out of 224 MLAs, in the 2013 elections.
