Today, Vasundhara Raje tweeted: “After conducting a COVID-19 19 test, I’m happy to inform you that the results came back negative. However, as a preventive measure, my son and I will continue to be in isolation for 15 days.”

“A lot of you checked up on me and I appreciate your concern. I want to thank you for your prayers and good wishes. They are what keep me going,” she added.

Friday’s development triggered a major scare in the political circles as Dushyant Singh, days after attending the Lucknow party, also attended Parliament, thus exposing several fellow MPs to the virus. He was also present at a function hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind.

As a result, several MPs have put themselves under self-isolation. President Kovind, too, is likely to undergo medical tests to check for COVID-19 virus.

Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh health minister Jai Pratap Singh, along with 28 others, all of whom were at the Lucknow party, had tested negative for the virus.
