Kapurthala: Woman Kills 4-year-old Son Fearing he Would Reveal Her Extra Marital Affair

A case under Section 302 (murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against both accused.

Kapurthala, Mar 4: A woman, along with lover, allegedly killed her four-year-old son at Talwandi Chaudhrian village on Friday. She feared that the child would reveal her illicit relationship. A case under Section 302 (murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against both accused.

Reports say, Rajwant had been in an illicit relationship with Gautam Kumar for the past two years. She was married to Balwinder Singh who was working at a private company in Gujarat. The incident came to light when the minor girl sought help from a neighbour as her mother was not in the house and her brother was unconscious.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, SHO Talwandi Chaudhrian Jarnail Singh said that the cause of the death has not been ascertained as of yet as their are no visible mark on the child’s body. Meanwhile, the body has been sent for postmortem and the search is on to nab the accused.
