New Delhi, Apr 15: The Congress on Sunday released the first list of 218 candidates for upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 that are scheduled for May 12. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to contest from Chamundeshwari whereas, his son Dr Yatheendra will contest from Varuna constituency in upcoming Legislative Assembly Elections
Home minister Ramalinga Reddy’s daughter Soumya has got Congress ticket from Jayanagar. On the other hand, the party has fielded MY Patil from Afzalpur whereas, Dr Ajay Singh will contest from Jevargi.
The counting of votes in all 224 constituencies will be held on May 15. Results for Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 will be announced on the same day.

Currently, the state is ruled by Siddaramaiah-led Congress. The party is in power with 122 seats against the BJP’s 43.
