Speaking of traffic, if you are a citizen of Mangaluru, please note that the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot among other dignitaries will be attending an event in the city on May 25 and May 26, 2024, at the TMA Pai Convention Hall on MG Road. Mangaluru Traffic Advisory: Road Restrictions, Routes To Avoid
As mentioned before, the event is taking place at the TMA Pai Convention Hall on the MG Road and therefore there is a possibility of traffic in the areas around this hall. Speaking of road closures, medians from Navabharat Circle to Ladyhill Circle vis PVS will be blocked. This includes the following roads -
- Besant Junction
- Kodialguthu Cross
- Nehru Avenue Junction
- Ballal Bagh Junction
The routes that you can avoid as they might be extremely congested, are -
- KPT
- BJ
- Nantoor
- Kottara Chowki
- Kuntikana
- Dr Ambedkar Circle
- Bunts Hostel
- Balmatta
- Coastal Circle
- Horticulture Junction
- Hampanakatte
- Pumpwell
- Thokkorttu
- Kankanadi
Mangalore Traffic Advisory: Check Alternative Routes, Parking Restrictions
While the routes that must be avoided and the roads that will remain blocked have already been mentioned, take a look at the parking restrictions and the alternative routes that you must adhere to, to reach your required destination without wasting too much time in traffic. The parking restrictions and alternative traffic and bus routes are -
- Traveling to Ladyhill Circle from Hampanakatte via Bunts Hostel? Divertthrough Bharath Beedi Junction or Karangalpady.
- If you are taking the road adjoining MG Road from PVS Junction to Ladyhill Circle as a motorist, you must instead, take Bejai Church Road or Kudroli Road.
- Speaking of bus routes, City, Express and KSRTC buses must pass through Hampanakatte, Dr Ambedkar Circle, Balmatta, Horticulture Junctino, Kadri Junction and Nanthoor if their route is KS Rao Road, MG Toad and Bunts Hostel.
- Buses going towards State Bank via Kottara Chowki, must go through Nanthoor.
- The KSRTC buses entering or departing from the bus stand, must make use of the Kuntikan Junction on the national highway.
- Parking is not allowed from PVS Junction to Lalbagh on MG Road; from PVS Junction to Bunts Hostel and Lalbagh Junction to KPT Junction on both sides of the road.
