According to reports, Mohammed Nalapad, on Sunday afternoon, allegedly rammed his Bentley car into an auto and a bike at the city’s Mekhri Circle, leaving two people-the auto driver and the biker-injured, and fled the spot. Also Read - NA Haris's son surrenders after being booked for thrashing man

A day later, his gunman approached the police, identifying himself as the man driving the Bentley car involved in the accident. However, with the help of CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, the police was able to make out that the gunman was not driving the car and it was Mohammed Nalapad himself, who was behind the wheels at the time of the accident.

The police said that if Mohammad Nalapad would be arrested if he didn’t appear for the questioning. A case has also been filed against the gunman for misleading the police.

The two victims are both out of danger; the biker, however, has sustained a leg fracture.

Mohammed Nalapad made headlines this time two years ago when, on February 17, 2018, he and his friends beat up the son of a Bengaluru businessman in a city restaurant. On being arrested, he had 111 charges slapped against him, including attempt to murder.

He spent over 116 days in jail before being granted bail.
