New Delhi, May 17: Former Union Minister P Chidambaram is a very angry man today. The Congress leader took to Twitter, like his party chief, to show his displeasure with BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa’s swearing-in as the Karnataka Chief Minister today.  He said while he saluted the Supreme Court, he would have waited for the court’s decision on Friday if he were Yeddyurappa. He was referring to the court’s decision to see the letters submitted by the BJP to the Governor. Also Read - 'Issued By Malafide': Karnataka High Court Quashes UP Police Notice to Twitter India MD

On Friday, the BJP would produce before the three-judge Supreme Court bench, the letter it submitted to Governor Vajubhai Vala on Wednesday as it staked a claim to forming the government. When Vala announced that he was inviting the BJP to form the government, the Congress-JD(S) alliance filed a plea in the Supreme Court, seeking a stay on the swearing-in today. Soon after the SC verdict, Chidambaram tweeted again. He said, “Governor invites Mr Yeddyurappa to manufacture a majority in 15 days. Governor gives Mr Yeddyurappa 15 days to convert the number 104 into 111.” Also Read - Diverting Attention From Non-compliance With Rules: Govt on Twitter’s Concern Over Freedom of Speech

On Wednesday, he had also tweeted how Yeddyurappa’s letter would seal his fate as he didn’t have the required numbers. “Mr Yedyurappa’s letter to the Governor will seal his fate. There is no mention of a number bigger than 104. The Governor’s invitation does not mention any number at all!” he had said. He hadn’t obviously foreseen the developments which followed.
