Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah met DK Shivkumar over breakfast at the CM resident on Saturday. The meeting came amid the ongoing power tussle and speculation over leadership change in Karnataka.

Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday became a warring powerhouse centre after Siddaramaiah and his deputy DK Shivakumar had breakfast together and tried to calm the inside tremors that are shaking the Congress party in the state. Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar’s meeting came amid the speculation of a leadership reset in Karnataka.

Why Did Siddaramaiah, Dk Shivakumar Meet Over Breakfast?

Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar had a conversation during the breakfast at the CM residence. After the breakfast, Siddaramaiah stated that “there are no differences” between the two leaders.

“Our agenda is the 2028 elections. Local body elections are important. We discussed them. We also discussed bringing back Congress in the 2028 elections. We discussed that we will go together. There are no differences between us and there will be no differences in the future,” the Chief Minister said to media.

Siddaramaiah requested DK to take over the top post of the state after the next Assembly elections which will be held in 2028, sources said.
