The actor was reportedly addressing reporters after a meeting with the women’s wing of his Rajini Makkal Mandram. Rajinikanth also urged the Karnataka govt (whichever party comes to power) to implement Supreme Court’s order on the Cauvery water.
On being asked if he has decided to contest upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha Polls, Rajinikanth said,”The decision for contesting elections in 2019 will be taken at the time when the elections are announced, The party is not yet launched, but we are ready for anything.”
However, Thalaiva refused to comment if his would strike an alliance with Kamal Haasan’s recently launched Makkal Needhi Maiam saying,” It is too early to talk about any kind of alliance.”

Few days back, it was reported that Rajinikanth has support of ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but the actor-turned-politician rebuffed the reports saying,”God is behind me and after that, I have the support of the people. No matter how many times people ask me this question, my answer will remain the same.”
Earlier this year, Rajinikanth had announced that he would be entering active politics and contesting all the 234 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu in 2021.
