Karunanidhi Health Update: DMK Chief is Good, Says OPS And Minister Jayakumar After Visiting Him in Gopalapuram
Karunanidhi will receive 24-hour health care service at his home. A team of doctors and nurses will look after him and the requires facilities have been arranged at his home.
Chennai, July 26: DMK leader Karunanidhi is in good health and will soon recover completely, said Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and Minister Jayakumar in Gopalapuram.
Regarding the fake news about Karunanithi’s ill health, DMK working president M.K. Stalin on Wednesday reportedly said, “Do not believe in them as they are rumours. He is taking rest after changing the tracheostomy tube last week. He had a fever after being discharged from hospital and doctors are treating him.”
Adding to that Cauvery hospital stated, “Karunanidhi’s health has been deteriorated due to age. Furthermore, the flu has been reported due to infection in the urinary tract. Drugs are needed.”
Owing to his delicate health condition, the doctors have requested not to let any visitors to his house. Karunanidhi will receive 24-hour health care service at his home. A team of doctors and nurses will look after him and the requires facilities have been arranged at his home.

O. Panneerselvam along with other ministers including Jayakumar, Tholamani, and Velumani visited Karunanidhi at his house in Gopalapuram. After inquiring Karunanithi’s health condition, Panneerselvam reportedly said that the DMK leader is in good health. Minister Jayakumar also assured, “Karunanidhi is well. He will soon be able to recover completely.”
When reporters questioned the need for DMK leaders to visit the party leader’s house, Minister Jayakumar said, “When former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa fell sick, the DMK members visited her. Similarly we went to inquire about Karunanidhi’s health. It’s political decency.”
