Srinagar, Feb 12: Separatist leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik have announced for a shutdown on February 13. The separatists termed the act of security forces in Frisal Kulgam as ‘worst act of state terrorism’ against the civilians and also said that such brutal acts will not be accepted. Brighter Kashmir quoted Syed Ali Geelani saying people of the state are not war mongers, but through silent tools, we will request India and the world community to deliver their pledges and also sort out the political future of the state. Also, the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has supported the ‘bandh’ approach of separatists. There have been several strikes in the valley post the killing of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani. Geelani to Brighter Kashmir on the increasing incidents of encounters in the valley stated that there are few in our folds who fan out information and this helps security forces to kill our youths.
