After incessant rains in last week of June 2015, which created a flood-like situation in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, the Valley is currently witnessing sunny weather, with maximum temperatures going up to 30-degrees Celsius.
But according to AccuWeather.com, which provides a detailed monthly weather forecast, rainfall will occur throughout this month starting from July 6. Light rainfall will continue from July 14 till the end of the month, as per forecast on AccuWeather.

The Weather Channel also predicts the possibility of thunderstorms from July 5 midnight, with 80 percent chances of rain. The 10-day forecast on the aforementioned website predicts intermittent showers till July 17. After the September floods last year, which claimed over 300 lives and rendered thousands homeless in Kashmir, people are living in fear. However, last week the MeT department ruled out rumours of continuous rainfall from July 14 to July 25, which had created panic among people. But the latest forecast available tells a different story.
