New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister-designate Arvind Kejriwal has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to his oath-taking ceremony on February 16 in the Ramlila maidan.

According to general practice, chief ministers of other states are invited to the oath-taking ceremony of a CM, but the Aam Aadmi Party made it clear that it won’t get entangled in those politics. Only the people of Delhi will be invited to the ceremony. Technically, Prime Minister also falls in this category, which triggers speculation of who else from Delhi will be invited to the event.

This is the third time Kejriwal will take the oath. After a bitterly fought election, the AAP won 62 of the 70 Assembly seats. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Arvind Kejriwal on his stupendous victory and Kejriwal, too, tweeted that AAP looks forward to work in close synergy with the Centre.

While the guest list is not out yet, the party has a special guest — the one-year-old baby Kejriwal who broke the internet on the day of the result by dressing up as a baby muffler man — with a Kejriwal-style muffler, spectacle and moustache. The ceremony will start at 10 am at the same Ramlila ground where Kejriwal took part in Anna Hazare’s massive anti-corruption agitation in 2011.
