New Delhi, July 5: In yet another shocking incident, a two-year-old boy was allegedly sexually assaulted inside the premises of a playschool in Diamond Harbour area of Kolkata. The incident reportedly took place on Monday but it came to light only after the father of the victim filed a complaint in this regard at Thakurpukur police station yesterday. He (victim’s father) alleged that private parts of the boy was bleeding after he returned home from the play school on June 2. Police have filed a complaint against unknown people, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act 2012. Narrating the horrifying story, the mother of the victim said that when she went to pick him up from school on June 2, she found that her son was crying uncontrollably. After reaching home, when she took him to the washroom she found his private parts were bleeding. She then took him to doctor who was reportedly left shocked to see injuries 2-year-old’s private parts. Next day, the parents of the victim informed the school principal about the incident. However, the principal Jayashree Anand rubbished the abuse. When they demanded to see the CCTV footage, the authorities told them the school’s  CCTVs weren’t working since June 26.

Last year, two similar incidents were reported from Kolkata’s top schools. At GD Birla School, a four-year-old-girl was sexually abused while another child from another reputed school was molested at least twice by school staff.
