Bengaluru, May 15: The results of 222-Assembly constituencies, out of the total 224, in Karnataka that went to polls on May 12, Saturday, will be declared on May 15, today. Voting on Kudligi, Molakalmuru, Challakere, Chitradurga and Hiriyur Assembly seats, along with others, was held on May 12. Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 is witnessing a tough contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Indian National Congress (INC) and Janata Dal (Secular). Siddaramaiah of the Congress is the current Chief Minister of the state. The term of current Karnataka Assembly ends on May 28. (Live streaming of Karnataka Polls Results)

Kudligi (ST)
Kudligi (ST), constituency number 96, in Karnataka, won by Independent candidate B Nagendra in 2013 Karnataka Assembly Elections. The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates. In Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018, the seat is witnessing a contest between NY Gopalakrishna of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Raghu Gujjal of the Indian National Congress (INC), NT Bommanna of Janata Dal (Secular), G Eshappa of Janata Dal (United) and H Veeranna of CPI.
Molakalmuru (ST)
Molakalmuru (ST), constituency number 97, is currently held by BSRCP’s S Thippeswamy. He had won it against INC’s NY Gopalakrishna in 2013. The seat is witnessing a strong fight between B Sreeramulu of the BJP, B Yogesh Babu of the Congress, and Patel GM Thippeswamy (Yattinahattygowdru) of Janata Dal (Secular) in Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018. The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Challakere (ST)
Challakere, constituency number 98, is currently held by INC’s T Raghumurthy. He had won it in 2013 Karanataka Assembly Elections. In Karanataka Assembly Elections 2018, the seat is seeing a tough contest between KT Kumaraswamy of the BJP, T Raghumurthy of the Congress, and Raveesh Kumar of JD(S). The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Chitradurga
Chitradurga, constituency number 99, was won by BJP’s GH Thippareddy in 2013 Karnataka Assembly elections. For Karnataka Elections 2018, the Congress has fielded HA Shanmukhappa (Hanumali) from the seat against GH Thippareddy of the BJP and KC Veerendra (Pappy) of JD(S) and KS Saraswathi if Samajwadi Party (SP).
Hiriyur (ST)
Hiriyur, constituency number 100, was won by D Sudhakar of INC in 2013 against JD(S)’s A Krishnappa. The seat is witnessing tough contest between BJP’s K Poornima and D Sudhakar of the Congress in Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018. Other competitors for the seat are D Yashodhara of JD(S) and Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate DN Nagendraiah. The seat is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates.
In 2013 Karnataka Assembly polls, the Indian National Congress (INC) won a majority of seats, with 122 out of 224 MLAs.

Karnataka Elections 2018 Results: Overall picture of Karnataka shows BJP leading on 114 seats. On the other hand, Congress is ahead on 55 seats whereas, JDS is leading on 39.
