Calling LK Adavi a ‘scapegoat, the RJD chief said the revival of conspiracy charges against the veteran BJP leader was a planned political conspiracy to keep him away from the President’s post. “CBI is an arm of the government, it says what the government wants it to say. It is a well-planned political conspiracy,” Lalu Yadav said.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday revived the conspiracy charge in the Babri Masjid demolition case against senior BJP leaders Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh, Union Minister Uma Bharti, among others. The Allahabad High Court had earlier dropped the charges of criminal conspiracy. But the CBI had petitioned the court for restoring criminal conspiracy charges.
