Amritsar: In a major development, the Punjab Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution of banning the sale and consumption of any kind of meat, tobacco products, alcohol and other intoxicants in its three holy cities. After the resolution, Anandpur Sahib which is located in Rupnagar district, Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda and the Galiara area have come under the category of holy cities. State Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann introduced the resolution while chairing the special session of Punjab Assembly. The special session of the state Assembly was held to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur in Anandpur Sahib.
