Lok Sabha adjourned till 12:30 PM as Opposition insist inclusion of ‘Modigate’ in notice

Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12:30 pm following heated argument between Congress MPs and the government over the inclusion of word 'Modigate' in the adjournment notice.

New Delhi, Aug. 12: Both the houses of the Parliament- Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha once again witness ruckus with Congress party disrupting the proceedings. Lok Sabha was adjourned till 12:30 pm following heated argument between Congress MPs and the government over the inclusion of word ‘Modigate’ in the adjournment notice. Congress has been demanding discussion over the Lalitgate. Sushma Swaraj who has been under attack with her alleged role in Lalit Modi’s visa controversy, also urged the speaker to accept the adjournment motion to discuss the Lalitgate. Congress has put another demand asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be present in the house.

The Parliament has remained deadlocked since the beginning of the Monsoon Session last month.
