New Delhi: Punjab minister and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday mocked Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Acche Din Aane Waale Hain’ slogan for 2014 Lok Sabha Election and expressed confidence on his party president Rahul Gandhi, saying nobody can stop him (Gandhi) from hoisting flag on Red Fort next year. “Hum Rahul Gandhi ke sipahi hain, mera naara hai ki bure din jane wale hain aur Rahul Gandhi aane wale hain, Lal Quila pe jhanda phairane wale hain. Koi rok sake to rok,” said Sidhu, while speaking to ANI. Also Read - Punjab CM Amarinder Singh's Son Summoned By Enforcement Directorate

On being questioned about Punjab CM that he advised him to refuse Pakistan’s invite, Sidhu said, “He (Captain Amarinder Singh) is like my father, I told him that I had already promised them(Pakistan) that I will come.” Sidhu also claimed that 20 Congress leaders have asked him to visit the neighbouring country for the ground-breaking ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor. He also hit out at those who criticised him for visiting Pakistan saying,”When I first went to Pakistan and talked about them promising Kartarpur Corridor, the critics mocked and made fun of me, now the same people are licking their own spit and taking U-turns.”

Notably, Sidhu came under a sharp attack from leaders across the country after a picture from the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kartarpur corridor showed him with the ‘separatist’. Chawla, who is the general secretary of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (PSGPC) and is known to speak for “Khalistan”, had shared the purported picture on his Facebook page.
