New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah is the biggest threat to the country. Addressing party volunteers over the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, he said, “If the BJP came to power again in 2019, it will change the Constitution to do away with elections.”

He even urged the party workers to go door to door and expose BJP. “The Congress has no presence in Delhi. Only AAP is capable of defeating the BJP in the upcoming elections,” he added

The AAP Lok Sabha in-charge of North-East Delhi, Dilip Pandey, said that the atmosphere in Delhi clearly indicated that the Aam Aadmi Party was set to win all the seven Lok Sabha seats.

On Sunday, AAP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had said that Arvind Kejriwal would not contest forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Singh had said,”Kejriwal will not contest the Lok Sabha polls, as he wants to give special focus to his state. The AAP will contest on all the Lok Sabha seats in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana Goa. The party will contest on some seats in UP, and final modalities will be worked out by February. The party is mulling to field a ‘strong’ candidate for Varanasi seat. Apart from Varanasi, the party will contest from seats in eastern and western UP, where the organisation is strong.”

Notably, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had slammed the Congress by calling it “as corrupt as BJP”, a day after the new chief of Delhi Congress Sheila Dikshit eliminated any possible alliance with his Aam Aadmi Party. At a meeting held on Saturday to review the party’s preparations in East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency, Kejriwal asserted that the AAP had done everything to defeat the corrupt regime of the Congress party in the previous general elections.
