New Delhi: Television actress Shilpa Shinde on Tuesday joined Congress, news agency ANI reported. She joined the party in presence of Sanjay Nirupam, President of Mumbai Congress Committee and party leader Charan Singh Sapra. She is the winner of Bigg Boss 11.

According to media reports, Shilpa Shinde was born on 28 August 1977. Her father was the judge of a High Court while her mother is a homemaker. Shilpa wanted to be an actress and after giving one year to explore the entertainment industry she was successful in becoming an actress.

Shilpa became popular after playing the character of ‘Angoori Bhabhi’ on the popular TV show ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hain’. She participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 11 and won the show. She won the reality show in 2018 and The Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain actress was one of the four finalists long with Hina, Vikas Gupta, and Puneesh Sharma. Shilpa later worked in Sunil Grover’s cricket-based web series Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan.
