Madhya Pradesh: 14-year-old Girl Gangraped by Three Men in Chhatarpur

Police had conducted the victim's medical examination and the report is awaited

New Delhi, Jul 8: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by three persons in Chhatarpur district of Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh, news agency ANI reported. The incident took place on Saturday. The police have conducted the victim’s medical examination.

The incident comes days after an eight-year-old girl was abducted from her school in Hafiz Colony and was gang-raped at her house in Mandsaur. She was found a day later near the Lakshman Darwaza. “The girl was found with injuries all over her body. She was raped. We rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she was later referred to Indore for further treatment,” Mandsaur SP Manoj Singh had informed reporters.

Taking note of the depravity in the matter, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan condemned the incident and had said that the accused should be hanged till death. The Chief Minister said, “The rape case that happened in Mandsaur has shocked everyone. We all want that people who did such heinous crime should be hanged to death. Human rights are for humans, not for the devils. This case should be resolved through fast track.”

Two accused in the case have been arrested. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was also constituted to further investigate the matter. Protests erupted in Mandsaur following the incident, with demands for death punishment for the culprits.
