Earlier, Shah had mocked the Congress saying that the party neither had a leader nor a policy for the state but the saffron party did have both of them.
Dewas: Referring to a video that is doing rounds in which a Congress candidate was seen ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and was was asked to chant ‘Sonia Gandhi ki Jai’ instead, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah while addressing a rally ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 attacked Congress saying that party people should be ashamed of themselves.
Shah said that if the video which was being circulated was indeed true, members of the Congress party should be ashamed.

On another occasion, while addressing a rally in Narsinghpur in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, Shah had said, “He (Rahul Gandhi) keeps on saying Modi, Modi in his speeches. Rahul wants to remove Modi, while we want to remove poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy from the country.”
“In a recent rally, (Congress chief) Rahul Gandhi uttered Modi’s name 44 times in his 22-minute speech. I am wondering whether he is campaigning for the BJP or the Congress,” Shah said, in remarks laced with sarcasm.
While addressing a gathering at an event in the state, Shah had said, “We will contest polls in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. But I want to ask Congress party, who is their leader in Madhya Pradesh? These people neither have a leader nor a policy for the state.”
Voting for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018 will be held on November 28. The counting of votes is scheduled for December 11. The tenure of the 230-member state Assembly ends on January 7, 2019. The BJP has been in power in the state since 2003 and is seeking a fourth straight term.
The Election Commission (EC) had announced dates for the Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Mizoram, and Telangana Assembly elections 2018 in October.
