On Tuesday, the team held a meeting with the representative of political parties and officials in Bhopal to ensure free and fair elections.

As per reports, the Commission received many complaints and suggestions in connection with the upcoming elections.

CEC Rawat also said that ‘One Nation, One Poll’ is not possible until changes are made in the Constitution and law. His statement came a few days after he had rejected the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) idea of holding elections in 11 states along with Lok Sabha Elections 2019 claiming that the number of VVPAT machines available are not enough to carry out the exercise.
