Bhopal: The counting of votes for the 230 Assembly constituencies that went to polls in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 on November 28 is underway. The results for Gohad, Mehgaon, Ater, Bhind, Lahar, Sewda and Datia Assembly constituencies will be announced today, December 11. Gohad, Mehgaon, Ater, Bhind, Lahar, Sewda and Datia are witnessing a tough contest between the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress among other regional and national parties and will get new MLAs today. Gohad went to polls on November 28 and recorded a voter turnout of 64 per cent. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between Lal Singh Arya of the BJP and Ranvir Jatav of the Congress. Among others, who are contesting the elections from the seat are – Dr Jagdish Singh Sagar of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Guddu Valmik of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Congress wins. In 2013, the seat was won by BJP’s Lal Singh Arya.

Ater had witnessed 62 per cent voter turnout of November 28. The candidates fighting for the seat are – Arvind Singh Bhadiriya of the BJP, Hemant Katare of the Congress, Sanjeev Baghel of the BSP and Ashok Singh Bhadouria (Kanawar) of AAP. BJP wins. In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, Satyadev Katare of the Congress had won the seat. This time also, Congress is leading.

Bhind recorded a voter turnout of 63 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Rakesh Choudhary, Congress’s Ramesh Dubey and BSP’s Sanjeev Singh. BSP wins. Lahar recorded a voter turnout of 62 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Rashal Singh, Congress’s Dr Govind Singh, BSP’s Ambrish Sharma Guddu and AAP’s Yogendra Singh Kushwah. Congress wins. The seat was won by Dr Govind Singh of the Congress in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election. This time, BSP is leading.

Sewda recorded a voter turnout of 69 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Radhelal Baghel, Congress’s Ghanshyam Singh, BSP’s Lakhan Singh Yadav and AAP’s Parineeta Raje. Congress’s Ghanshyam Singh wins.  The seat was won by Pradeep Agarwal of BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.

Datia recorded a voter turnout of 70 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Narottam Mishra, Congress’s Rajendra Bharti and AAP’s Hari Singh. The seat was won by Narottam Mishra of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election. As per early trends, BJP is tailing.

The voting for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 was held on November 28. The counting of votes and the results for all the Assembly constituencies including Gohad, Mehgaon, Ater, Bhind, Lahar, Sewda and Datia will be announced today, December 11.
