Bhopal: The counting of votes for the 230 Assembly constituencies that went to polls in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 on November 28 is underway. The results for Sheopur, Vijaypur, Sabalgarh, Joura, Sumawali, Morena, Dimani and Ambah Assembly constituencies will be announced today, December 11. Sheopur, Vijaypur, Sabalgarh, Joura, Sumawali, Morena, Dimani and Ambah are witnessing a tough contest between the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress among other regional and national parties and will get new MLAs today. Sheopur, constituency number 1, went to polls on November 28. The Assembly seat recorded a voter turnout of 68 per cent. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between Durgalal Vijay of the BJP and Babu Jandel of the Congress. Among others, who are contesting the elections from the seat are – Tulsinarayan Meena of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Kuldeep Singh of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Congress’ Babu Jandel wins . In 2013, the seat was won by BJP’s Durgalal Vijay.
Vijaypur, constituency number 2, is witnessing a close fight between BJP’s Sitaram Aadiwasi and Congress’s Ram Niwas Rawat. They will also face a contest against Babulal Mebra of BSP and Ashutosh Chaturvedi of AAP. BJP’s Sitaram Aadiwasi wins. The seat recorded 76 per cent voter turnout on November 28. BJP is leading. In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, the seat was won by Ram Niwas Rawat of the Congress.

Sabalgarh, constituency number 3, will get a new MLA today as the counting of votes is underway on the seat. It had witnessed 66 per cent voter turnout of November 28. The candidates fighting for the seat are – Sarla Rawat of the BJP, Baijnath Kushwaha of the Congress, Lal Singh Kevat of the BSP and Colonel Umesh Verma of AAP. Congress wins. In 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election, Meharban Singh Rawat of the BJP had won the seat.
Joura, constituency number 4, recorded a voter turnout of 63 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Subedar Singh, Congress’s Banwarilal Sharma, BSP’s Maneeram Dhakad and AAP’s Gayaram Singh Dhakad. Congress wins.The seat was won by Subedar Singh of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.
Sumawali, constituency number 5, recorded a voter turnout of 63 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Ajab Singh Kushwaha, Congress’s Adal Singh Kasana, BSP’s Gandhi Manvendra Singh and AAP’s Vinod Singh Parmar. The seat was won by Satyapal Singh of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.
Morena, constituency number 6, recorded a voter turnout of 63 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Rushtam Singh, Congress’s Raghurajsingh Kasana, BSP’s Balvir Singh Dandotiya and AAP’s Ram Prakash Rajoriya. Congress’s Raghurajsingh Kasana wins. Rushtam Singh is tailing with 7000 votes. The seat was won by Rustom Singh of the BJP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.
Dimani, constituency number 7, recorded a voter turnout of 69 per cent on November 28. The seat is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Congress’s Girraj Dandotia, BSP’s Chhattar Singh Tomar and AAP’s Ghanshyam Singh Tomar. Congress’s Girraj Dandotia wins. The seat was won by Balveer Singh Dandotiya of the BSP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.
Ambah, constituency number 8, recorded a voter turnout of 66 per cent on November 28. The seat, reserved for Scheduled Caste candidate, is witnessing a tough contest between BJP’s Gabbar Sakarwar, Congress’s Kamlesh Jatav, BSP’s Satyaprakash Sakhawar and AAP’s Suneel Kumar Manohar. Congress wins. The seat was won by Satyaprakash of the BSP in 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election.
The voting for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Election 2018 was held on November 28. The counting of votes and the results for all the Assembly constituencies including Sheopur, Vijaypur, Sabalgarh, Joura, Sumawali, Morena, Dimani and Ambah will be announced today, December 11.
